USE OF CHILDREN'S PROGRAM ROOM POLICY The purpose of the Story Room at the Tipton County Public Library is to have a safe, secure, and accessible space to present the programs that are an integral part of the services provided by the Children's Department. These programs are designed in keeping with the library's mission to provide educational opportunities to all residents of Tipton County, to promote the enjoyment of reading, and to enhance the cultural climate of the community. Use of the Children's Program Room will be limited to those times when it is not being used by library staff for organizing, producing, preparing, or presenting library programs. The Children's Program Room will be available for use as a meeting place, under the same guidelines as the Meeting Room with some exceptions. 1. Use of the Story Room will be limited to 20 people. 2. A $25.00 fee will be charged when the Story Room is used by a profit-making group, or for a private social event. This fee must be paid when the group arrives to use the room. 3. The Program Room is AVAILABLE ONLY WHEN STORY HOURS ARE NOT IN SESSION during the following times: 9:30AM to 7:45PM Monday-Thursday and 9:30AM to 4:45PM on Friday and Saturday The Program Room is NOT AVAILABLE ON SUNDAYS or days the library is closed for holidays or emergencies. No exceptions will be made. 4. There is no standard set-up for the Program Room. Arrangements must be made at the time the reservation. Please let us know at the desk or by phone BEFORE ARRIVAL if you have any special needs. Program Room MUST BE RETURNED to the original set-up. Please move tables and chairs to their original positions and wipe off tables after use. Ask Children's staff for cleaning materials if needed. |
