The Tipton County Public Library is a tax-supported instution under the direction of a seven-member board. The mission of the library is to provide educational opportunities, promote reading, and enhance the cultural climate of Tipton County. Our goals are to provide accurate and timely information, access to current and high demand materials in a variety of formats, equitable delivery of service, an inviting atmosphere, and postive contributions to the quality of life in Tipton County through leadership and service.
Any resident of the County is eligible to use the Library. A library card is issued upon presentation of a standard form of identification with the current address. Priviledeges are continued as long as the borrower complies with Library rules and procedures.
Most services are free of charge. Exceptions are some uses of the meeting room, photocopies, and faxes. Refundable deposits are required for some equipment and for meeting room use.
Library service is available at the Main Library in Tipton, at the Branch in Windfall, and through delivery to the home-bound.
