Unattended Children Policy Statement
We are concerned about the safety of all library users, especially children. We strive to make the library an enjoyable place to visit so that you will want to return often.
The Board of Trustees of the Tipton County Public Library has, therefore, established the following policies for the library system:
Children age 8 and under must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times. Parents and/or responsible persons are accountable for their children’s behavior and safety while in the library.
Children between the ages of 8 and 12 should be accompanied by an adult if the library stay exceeds two hours.
Policy on Disruptive Youth
Disruptive youth will be asked to leave the premises after two warnings. Disruptive behavior is any behavior on library premises which infringes on the rights of others using the library and is outlined in the Tipton County Public Library Patron Behavior Policy.
